Friendships??

I am having a hard time being someones friend. I know that she is going been going through hard times, but I feel that she is just reaching out to me because of who my husband is and she needs a new person to listen. Now, please don't get me wrong. I don't mind when people wants me to listen to there problems, but don't just contact me only when you have drama in your life. I want to be their friend during the good and bad times. Not just during the bad.

So does this make me a bad person, that I feel this way?

I have had a hard time making friends here in Missouri. And the handful of friends that I do have I cherish! I hope that they know that I would do anything for them.

Considering the situation, no, I do not think you are a bad person at all. I think it's weird that she would try to dump all her problems on you before you were even close friends in the first place.

Want to hear my problems? Oh, wait. You do! ;o)

Well, I don't know the whole situation, so take my response with that in mind. If you are her only friend right now that she feels will listen to her problems and not judge her, try to give her that. However, if you truly feel that she is using you, then talk to her about it. It would be terrible to lose a potential friend over a misunderstanding. She may not realize she is being selfish. ...And you're not a bad person. We're all entitled to our feelings.
